Proton.me not liking firefox version. Says its not compatable

When I did an update on software on my ubuntu, and then tried to bring up Proton.me in Firefox, it stated it was not compatable and I needed to update Firefox. Can't seem to update Firefox.

Firefox 130.0 Ubuntu 24.04 amd 64. Can't seem to get Firefox more updated.

Latest version of Firefox is 153.00

came as an update on Linux Mint, yesterday 25th July

What happens when you try to update Firefox? Are you using the version from Ubuntu's repos? Or a version from somewhere else?

Most likely running Firefox Snap package.

Open terminal and copy and paste one at a time press enter and then enter password when asked.

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade

sudo snap refresh
