What do you with your Linux Distro ? Do you hop around ?

that looks pretty cool i dint realise there was a ubuntu minimal install. i think ima give this one a go!

Ive got a little plan set out to help me learn more about linux and its innner working and it goes :
1.install arch
2.install gentoo
3.install slackware
4.have an attempt at linux from scratch (more about the process and willn ot be using linux from scratch as a working os)

i think ima put installing ubuntu minimal before i attempt these 4 ive laid out. How did you find the setup and install of ubuntu minimal???
Installing Gentoo was great fun and a valuable learning experience for me.
I also found it very interesting to install Debian from the "Net Install" .iso.
I generally keep a spare box handy just for installing and experimenting with different Linux distros.

i think i may have altered my list now to :

1.install ubuntu minimal
2.Debian net install
3.Arch
4.Gentoo
5.Slackware
6.open bsd
7. Linux from scratch!

lol

morning all from the great southern land

i am currently running 69 linux over 2 main rigs, can be up to 100, but the housekeeping after that can get tedious.

they are from the families debian, rpm, arch and gentoo - i will begin focusing a bit on slackware in the coming months

all full installs - other than an arch vm guesting under swagarch, will have to duplicate elewhere as swagarch now defunct

new books on lfs and lfs systemd available now at

http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/download.html
