Waking your computer with your voice?

I recentely read that Intel has included technology in their recent processors that allow Windows 10's Cortana to wake your computer. Assuming that this type of technology is not entirely closed source by Intel would you use it if Gnome/KDE/Unity/ any other desktop environment on Linux had the ability? Assuming that the feature was opensource and the microfone input was not sent anywhere you don't want it.
