My goal is to run linuxcnc on my win7 machine using vmware to run my mini lathe. Have also a CNC router which runs windows software. Purpose is to NOT have 2 computers nor to have to reboot computer to load different OS when switching CNC machines.
Can anyone explain why when loading unbuntu 10.04 on house computer it automatically configures to run the graphical interface. Using the same iso file to load under VMware it does not load graphical interface and just configures to the text screen.
Any help greatly appreciated as at this point I am dead in the water and have no idea where to find answers.
