How to Copy/Paste a video etc from YouTube to wherever you like

1. Select whatever it is you wish to copy/paste from youtube

....then....click on the SHARE button. (note that you DO NOT need to sign into google to do all this)
Then, click on COPY.....that gives you the url of your chosen song/etc etc

Go to wherever you are going to share it and right click and paste it there......eg you might wish to share a song to either RockRoxx or Crossover Music,Easy Listening etc....here at Linux.org
(the page number may change by the time you get to read this post....just click next to take to the next page/pages etc)

With RockRoxx I just
  • Find the vid I am looking for on YT
  • Start to play it
  • Right-click in the vid
  • Copy Video URL
  • In RockRoxx reply pane use the Insert Link tool
  • Paste the URL
  • Post reply
and all is good.

Works for me, ;)
 
sometime I just use the url in the adres bar
I have always used that method as well....but lately, when I then click on the url I have just pasted, it has taken me to youtubes main page but hasn't included the song I wanted
