Getting Printer to work

OK Panic over, I found it under All Applications - hplip tool box. There I needed to download something from HP that my scrambled brain has forgotten the name of then it printed a test page. BOSTIN ! as they say where I come from.
Now I'll try my accounts again.

The download was, of course, a driver.
Thanks to everyone for the help, got there in the end.
Printer is now telling me it needs a new toner cartridge. Jeez, maybe I can get on with some simple carpentry soon!
