well @lucasaoliveira7 you could totally re-write the kernel ( i'm joking )

your question i suspect could be an expanding list , so let me start it off using my case scenario :

i use soley slackware as my main laptop distro but have a few live os on usb sticks.

these are my possibilities:

support the maintainer financially via patreon - don't trust it so i don't but did send Patrick Volkerding a cheque last year.

New users to a distro are its life blood (in my opinion) and one thing new users do it have a look around and at documentation before they take the plunge. So i have some contribution on the official documentation.

One of the repo for slackware is slackbuilds.org its really kept going by volunteers so i took on and maintain one slackbuild.

For Linux generally you could see if in your community maybe via a LUG if there is any appetite for computer users who would like to give Linux a go but don't know where to start.

You can of course be a regular user on this site

Hello, everybody.

How can someone contribute with Linux?
That is a rather broad question. It really depends on a persons skill set.
Answering questions in forums is a good way to contribute.
Advocating for Linux and FLOSS is good.
Writing documentation and translating is an excellent way!
Reporting bugs/filing bug reports.
Writing code for various projects or even the kernel.

Here are some links which may be helpful;
