I am ready to dive into the deep end when it comes to Linux, and I am hoping to resurface faster than expected.
I am about to purchase 2 sample devices which currently run Windows Compact 7 and has;
Cortex A9 dual core CPU (1GHz+1GHz) with 3D graphic engine Mali400.
800cd 8.0” wide 800x480 TFT LCD
SD/MMC memory card expansion slot
Capacative touch screen
1GB DDR3 RAM, 256MB nand flash
4 RS232 Serial Ports (no WiFi or Ethernet)
What is the best way to get started to build an operating system in order to have a feel of how Linux works, and put pen onto paper for the project I am working on.
I am running OpenSuse Linux as my daily drive Workstation,
