Is It Possible to Jailbreak a Ring Doorbell?

The perception of an invasion of privacy is somewhat of an interesting debate. The OP was concerned in relation to their privacy being invaded because of the installation of this Ring doorbell by the neighbour. How would you feel if your neighbour across from you installed a camera? Personally...

Too many hardware & software options - not enough knowledge

That’s a superb idea, at least to begin with. I have several flash drives available to me at this current time - an ideal alternative as I hunt for some decently priced external drives. Thank you :) I have already subscribed to the newsletter and had a wonder around the blog, great resource so...

Too many hardware & software options - not enough knowledge

Thank you for your suggestions. I will more than likely follow a similar backup system such as you described, so I’ll do some shopping for the same or similar external drives. Appreciate you I do not doubt this! I can’t wait to properly get my teeth stuck in and realise the full potential of Linux.

Too many hardware & software options - not enough knowledge

You’re a star! Thank you for going into a lot of detail, I appreciate the time you’ve taken and will definitely pick the @s brain in the future as gaming is something I want to get back into. I followed the docs on the Linux mint website so after the frustration with the USB not working...

Too many hardware & software options - not enough knowledge

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback :) Funnily enough, I have downloaded Linux Mint for my ancient laptop just to give it a go. After many hours of frustration and not understanding what I was doing wrong - it’s alive! It looks really cool, I’m sure as I get more involved there may be a need for...

That’s completely understandable. If you have any literature you would recommend, as I wish to develop my mathematical knowledge on such topics over the next several years just out of pure curiosity - that would be great if you could share. :)

Thanks for the welcome, @Condobloke A big thank you for the reminder also! We can get caught up sometimes with the complexity of things, making them much harder then they need to be so I always appreciate the nudge back to reality and to always K.I.S.S!

Definitely keep going. This is something that has the potential to grow stupendously higher than it is at this current moment in time. Like you say, this is a resource for people like myself whom are green and need that helping hand. Your writing technique and previous mathematician accolades...

I've had a look and it's a fantastic offer. Once I get a few things in my tech world squared away, I will be in contact with you to take you up on this offer as it will suit a blog that I wish to start sooner rather than later. I've been fiddling around with websites for a little while now...

Too many hardware & software options - not enough knowledge

So very true, buy cheap and buy twice is what happens most of the time when it comes to cheap anything really. I think it's even more important when buying a laptop that you have the specs you need, as has been mentioned above the transferability of parts of slightly more limited than that of a...

Thank you for taking the time to reply to this, Vimmer. As all of these replies, it really does mean a lot. I didn't realise that about touch screen laptops and their moisture activation ways as I have never owned one, thank you for this - will give them a miss however cool they are. Am I...
