Huh... That seems like something you'd learn earlier in life, though I think we all experience it from time to time and that it's temporary.

If it's a constant thing, that'd suck. I'd have to do what I could to not think about it. Have you had this issue for long?

Sadly it's not temporary, buzzing is constant for whole day that started several years ago, but I never bothered until visited doctor who told me it could be due to a sleeping position, the doctor didn't tell this is called tinnitus and I had no idea there is no cure until I've read about it yesterday.

I forget about it when listening to music or when surrounding is loud or when play a game etc.
According to article, ibuprofen could be cause and I've been consuming it on daily basis due to pain, very likely that's what caused it.

It definitely sucks, yes, especially since there is no cure, have to live with that :(

Wierd... It's something I know about and know of, but don't have any long-term experience with. I also tend to wear hearing protection when around loud noises. We only get one set of ears, so I have been reasonably careful with them. Tinnitus is fairly common, which is why I was a bit surprised that you'd just learned of it.

But now you can put a name to it. From memory, there are a couple of medications to treat tinnitus. If it's bothersome to the point of distraction, that might be something to look into. I don't recall what those medications are, but Google will know all about that.

And, you might want to consult a medical professional. Eating ibuprofen all the time isn't really good for you. You gotta take care of you, 'cause nobody else is going to do it. Long-term use of any NSAID is generally considered a Bad Idea©. Pain sucks, but long-term use of ibuprofen can have some serious health consequences. (As for daily/constant pain, I can relate!)

I've had ringing in my ears for a long time.
I guess I've gotten used to it.

I know a lot of folks who have ringing in the ears.

Don't know if there's much that can be done about it.
Seems to be common among the old folks my age.

Instead of using Ibuprofen you should have your doctor prescribe Naproxen.
Naproxen is just as bad for you as Ibuprofen.

Naproxen gives extend pain relief.
Ibuprofen give full relief at the start and then diminishes.

I take 500mg of Naproxen two times a day.

I was talking 800mg of Ibuprofen three times a day.

You didn't say how much Ibuprofen you are taking on a daily bases.

I hope you are drinking lots of water.

I drink around two gallons of water a day.
I pee a lot that keeps the kidneys and liver clean.

I'm old and have arthritis so I take Naproxen.

If you do start the Naproxen it does take a few weeks to feel its full relief.

I figure less drugs I take the better off I am.

Doctor prescribed me 600 mg currently, however I don't drink it because there's no need since I no longer work same job as before due to pain.
I was drinking it for some 1 year, I think it was 1 x 250 mg a day, and then had to quit my job because it was unbearable and drinking ibuprofen feel like wasn't worth it only to keep the job.

I now almost don't drink it at all except in rare cases, like once in 6 months maybe.
I'll see what my doc says about Naproxen, and whether it is available here, never heard about it, thanks for letting me know.
