Update: I have two workarounds. As stated before, my bluetooth earbuds work and I found an old pair of usb headphones and that does work, but the jack still doesn't work. Oh well, it's still better than nothing and a lot better than having the bloatly and buggy Win 10.

arochester, thank you for your reply. I didn't find that page, but I had tried a lot of what was mentioned there via other searches. Some don't work and some just don't function at all. Step 3 I've done before and the info is here, if needed...

Howdy, new linux user here, so bear with me please. As the heading says, I have no sound on my headphones with Ubuntu 19.10. It is not a hardware problem, as I tried a Million, (yes really, a million), fixes that I found online and Ubuntu recongizes my soundcard but to no avail, no sound...
