    I use Brave browser, which is more private than Chrome. Works great. For VPN, i use Proton, which is free and unlimited. Seems to work fine.

    Laptop Problem.

    You'd probably be best to just download new Linux Mint and burn it to a USB drive with Balena Etcher. Then pop it into a port and install it over the top of the old stuff, so it's wiped. Unless you need any files on there, that is. Others on here may have better ideas, though.

    Maybe this will have the same result but i have used it before successfully: Take out the hard drive and put it in a different machine and install Linux onto it. Make sure it boots successfully on that machine. Remove it and re-install it in your machine. Boot your machine. It may have to...
