I need to setup a series of MS Windows Network printers as direct IP in Mint. For some reason I just can't get it go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have CUPS, SAMBA, and the printer driver installed? Are there any firewalls between the Mint computer and the Windows computer that could block requests? Are the printers shared publicly or with special shared permissions.

What versions of Windows? What are the printers?

I recentely had issues with connecting to an Epson printer shared from a Windows Vista computer (I know what many of you are thinking, yes it is Vista.). The issue was two fold:
1. I did not have CUPS installed
2. I did not have the ESPCR (Epson proprietary) printer driver installed.

I have Samba, I don't believe I have CUPS installed.

My Project: Live Mint USB stick for use for computers in main offices and remote parts centers when they are disabled with bad HD's or Virus.

1. Outlook and Office communicator via the web: Check
2. Citrix client working: Check.
3. Direct IP printing so Citrix can print: Stuck

remote parts centers only use direct IP Printing.
All printers are Xerox multifunction machines.
