Greetings Folks!
Please advise which is the best GUI application to perform a periodic Disk Image copy to and Eternal Hard Drive or USB.
And when required to upload the Disc Image to my OS.
Thank you.

You probably want something like Clonezilla. You'd make a dedicated USB with Clonezilla on it and use that to create full system snapshots while the system is offline. You'd push that image to attached storage that's not your main disk. The same USB with Clonezilla on it is used if you want to reverse the operation, that is to restore the data.

Thanks for your response! Let me give it a bash. If I have any hassle I will revert.

Or, you use the GUI version of clonezilla. I use it, with excellent results

Rescuezilla

I can explain how to use it, if you need that

The screen you have shown above is labelled " Select Destination Drive" ...in other words where the image will be saved TO

It shows a partition selected...115.2GB....is that where your Zorin is located or is that where you wish to save Zorin to ?

Ideally you would save Zorin to an external drive. Just in case the main drive fails. The external drive needs to be big enough to hold the entire Zorin install

Thanks for your response! I lost the plot...... I was downloading the Image to the USB that has Rescuezilla installed......of course it will not work. I have managed to download the Image to a new USB.
I will give you a shout if I need your help again.
Thanks for the support!

@Condobloke :-

It's been several years since I experimented with Clonezilla, Brian. Confirm for me, would you?.....I believe with Clonezilla, if copying an OS install, you need to have sufficient space to copy that whole partition, yes? It won't work simply trying to copy just the install itself; it needs to be the entire partition, I believe, 'cos that's how Clonezilla works.....

(Coo, am I glad with Puppy we can do ALL this stuff just using copy'n'paste...!! :D )

Mike. ;)

@MikeWalsh ....In the OP's case the external needs to be at least 115Gb...and ideally bigger. I note he has used a usb stick to save to, so I would assume because he had success there the usb must have been at least 128GB....which is a common size
That was a hell of a long 'Yes" eh ? !
Just gone 4.30AM here...very bleary eyed...I hope all that made sense, Mike

EDIT:...ok am awake now.....Yes...he needs to have included #1,2,3,4, to get the complete image. In normal circumstances Rzilla will have offered to include those....I have reposted below to ensure he checks that.
Thanks Mike !

@WillingToLearn777 , just to be sure...to be sure....did you Verify the image after?...it is a step worth following....when Verify is finished (which only take a few minutes) you should see a screen like below.

Also R'zilla should have asked do you wish to save the accompanying partitions

Edit to add....I have just relooked at your pic up above.....reproduced below

I think Mike is quite correct.....all of that partition should be included to make an effective image....So, #1, #2, #3, and #4
Did Rescuezilla offer to include those extra spaces?

This IS important
