Interesting article.

I personally think solar energy is the way to go and if I wasn't as old as I am I would install solar panels on the farm.

The thing about these various storage means is that we're going to need a variety of them. We charge 'em with excess wind and solar, for times when the wind doesn't blow and the sun isn't shining.

One of the more interesting methods is adiabatic compressed air energy storage. That one shows some promise and will be useful in areas where either nature provided the geography or we dug shafts into the ground.
