wlan0 is not there in kali linux

hey i just installed kali linux few days ago and i can't run wifi in it
when i type iwconfig it only show eth and lo it doesn't show wlan0
by the way i am running it in dual boot system
 


It might not be called wlan0 any more, it might be named something else.

What is the output from

Are you running it on a physical machine or on a virtual machine?
 
Plug in an ethernet kabel so that you do have a network connection so you can install a package, activate the non-free repos then install firmware-realtek and then reboot.
 
If that doesn't work try compiling and installing the driver yourself.

Did you reboot after installing realtek-firmware?And then after compiling and installing the one from github?
 
Your wireless network card has to support monitor mode.

No need to adress me so formaly, leave out the sir. Any wireless adapter that supports monitor mode but with these you know for sure they will have Kali support.

Ya i checked out one adapter on amazon and it support monitor mode in kali linux
