help on installing a ROCKWILL RNX-G1W
Hi, sorry this is not a product I am familiar with and the Rockwill site is blocked in europe , I know it has a Realteck chipset of some sort.
If you have Linux installed
1] what distro and build is it?
2] in terminal run inxi -Fnx , scroll down highlight and copy the whole section titled Network and post here,

Hello sir, Thank you for responding to my post. Here is the system information you asked for.
-System-Product-Name Kernel: 5.0.0-32-generic i686 bits: 32 compiler: gcc
v: 7.4.0 Desktop: Cinnamon 4.4.8 wm: muffin dm: LightDM Distro: Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia
base: Ubuntu 18.04 bionic

Have you been able to run the inxi -Fnx as requested as this will give me the information on the chip-set used in the adapter?

I just used a search engine. I'm still using Bing, but I'll be migrating (back to) Google soon - assuming the quality of results doesn't improve before I make said migration.

I use DuckDuckGo it came up with the website first off, but as i said we in this part of the world are blocked from it for some reason

Weird. I appear to be in Canada (VPN) at the moment. I can switch to a UK VPN and check, if it's even a little important.

This was the one I was expecting to be in error but you have the correct Realtek drivers for your PCI,
have you tried installing the Drivers for your wi=fi that @KGIII found for you?

Wait a minute...

Is there any reason you're using an old version of Mint? Is there any specific reason why you're using a 32 bit distro?

Your CPU supports 64 bit.

The driver is also probably 64 bit.

I just did not know right off that I had 64 bit system to use. I just wanted to use what it came up with, if that makes any since, to use what would work.

The OP only has 2.0GB of memory and that is the only reason I'd see for running a 32 bit version of LM.

I suggest dumping Linux Mint Cinnamon and using Linux Mint Xfce as it will not be so resource demanding.

OK, I will consider that. Will I be able to do a lot with linux mint Xfce?

Yep it can do all of the same things that Linux Mint Cinnamon does without using as many system resources.
