Hello, I've installed Mint Cinnamon on my i5 laptop and then installed Wine as there's one Windows based program which I'd like to run, Log4OM (https://www.log4om.com/).

When installing there are what I think may be some errors? I see the following lines in the command during installation....

00f8:err:richedit:ReadColorTbl malformed entry

Do you think that this is something which could be resolved or simply a case of one of those programs which will not work in this environment?

Thanks.

Looks like it's not even mentioned in the Wine Appdb so you it will probably not work. So you will be better of using a native alternative.

Thanks for the suggestions on alternative software, I'll take a look at one of those. I should be able to import my contact logs over, with Log4OM I was just hoping to do it automatically by using the same network located log between multiple computers used for logging.

So, is that defacto that if a software program isn't listed in the Wine list, that it's generally not compatible? I assume some work has to have been done by developers to get each individual piece of software to work?

I'll take a look at Xlog. I was just trying http://linuxlog.su/ but I get this

:~/Downloads$ apt install sudo LinLog_v2.4.sh
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package LinLog_v2.4.sh
