Hi! I am so upset with ubuntu right now, I can't post on ubuntu new forum, cuz i am new user. What a bs.
Anyway, i installed ubuntu 24.04.1 on my HP-EliteBook-8570w and selected fresh install over the previous windows 11 24h2 install. The problem is, when i start the laptop it goes in restart loop if i don't select Ubuntu on startup everytime, it just goes to Windows Boot Manager [which should not even be there as i installed ubuntu fresh full ssd]. I deleted the ntfs partition thru disks app and now it just say on boot up Os boot manager and goes into restart loop. I once again reinstalled ubuntu and the problem is the same. How tf do i make it that it boots directly to ubuntu rather than that os boot manager bs? Sorry for my anger, I can't find any solution as all web answers point to a dual boot instalation. Mine is only Ubuntu so 1 install. I restored even the bios settings, to no luck. I have no option in bios to select default selection on boot, ubuntu is always the last option when i make it so i select. If not, restart loop... These errors make alot of windows users never wanting to try linux, just my opinion.

welcome to the forums---------
with a little bit of reading youe will have found your error..
Turn off windows quick start/Fast-boot, in the power setting of your Bios and do a full power re-boot [not a windows re-start
