I did download this stuff, but when i have downloaded other apps they do not appear on my hdd.
Why are these on my hdd?
It looks like a program code.
\i know there doing no harm. But why are they there.

See your other Thread, Gary.

But you were asking, there, about being denied access to your hard drive, re permissions.

Is that a wider issue, or was it just with the above Loop files?

Explain to us if you can, and we will help.

HI
Went to hard drive when i could not get permission to format dvds. And i was puzzled to find these loop files on the hdd. I tried go remove them using sudo rm and it says i do not have permission to remove them. Thats all i know.
It just seems strange that they are there. It is on my encrypted drive.
This has never happened before.

Every time you install something via snap, it adds more of those loop files.

The only way to remove the loop files is to uninstall the programs they relate to via snap.

The reason they are there is difficult for me to explain clearly. From my limited understanding of snaps - I believe each application runs in its own sandbox. I think these loop files are some kind of virtual file system mappings or something....
