Which distro for old laptop

well as far as I can see Bodhi is basically ubuntu(and therefore a child-ling of Debian ) with LTS kernel with a nice Desktop ?
So probably i would simply backup anything needed and follow that distro's way of a system upgradie . I mean you have nothing to loose. if it doesn't work out you can still try something else.

Bodhi is a good Linux distro I use it on some of my old computers and it's A-OK.
