What would be a good code to use for users who need to view password protected docs?

Okay I am trying to build a page that allows signed up members of a particular website to view files in a folder, but they cannot get in because it needs to be password protected.

For example... I need to send an email to verified users automatically - this email contains a password for a protected file/directory which has downloadable files within it.

Is there a simple method of doing this?

Bumping - I did mean script, but I have not figured this out yet.

I would assume it would be some sort of perl or php back-end, with an automatic sendmail function. I am not a coder, but hopefully other people can jump on what I said, and help you out.

There is plenty of software on the internet you can locate that provides your documents with encryptions and a very secure password. The last software I used like this was called H-Lock.
