Arch takes a simpler approach than Mandriva or Mageia,

The installer for Mandriva is much simpler. The end result is pretty similar to Arch anyhow. So, it's all good.

as a personal project of re-habilitation i have to challenge my OCD mentailty but here i have to clarify /be pedantic- your not actually talking about Mandriva that becaome John Cleese Parrot circa 2012 but actually another kettle of fish Openmandriva
