What is possible here?

Nope - Staff can.

G'day @Turquoise_Tortoise and welcome to linux.org :)

You can delete any Post that you have written within a Thread.

If you have a need to delete your own Thread, best bet is to "Report" yourself and ask for Staff to delete.

Cheers

I am amazed at what we can do here.
First I must master the command terminal...
I can type anything in the terminal until I hit enter, then I need to enter my password.
But the keyboard is non responsive. Any help would be great thanks.

The keyboard is working!
As a security measure your password (including the number of keystrokes you make) does not show.
Imagine that somebody is looking over your shoulder. If your password was visible they could see it.
Just type your password (even when you can't see anything) and hit enter.

I have deleted the other Thread, in Command Line, as it is a duplicate, and moved my content here. However @arochester 's input is basically the same.

If you are typing in a command that requires elevated privileges, we have to put "sudo" in front of the command. When Terminal asks us to enter our password, there is no movement of the cursor or insertion point as you type it in, that is for security. You simply type it in and press enter.
