What could be a good Silverlight equivalent in Linuxmint Cinnamon 16 and how to install it?
 


Old thread but here's some useful info, moonlight is not dead:

Google chrome has good support for it (in Arch's AUR repos, it's google-chrome-extension-moonlight), so if anyone interested is not afraid of having their soul stolen, just go for it. I had to install it yesterday - working great.

Chromium may also work with that after some tweaking.

I have to try that with Chromium. ;)

why not use silverlight

i put a pdf i cant type url

it is in deb form super easy . I used alien great works on tar.gz and rpm probally more

sudo alien filename.rpm (for rpm-deb)
sudo alien -k filename.tar.gz

to install
sudo apt-get install alien

If you get wine there is a program called wine-silverlight. I think it came with Pinguy OS, but Pinguy and LM are both Debian based which means if you find a download for Pinguy it should be compatable with LM.
