Weird behavior of application under 'root'

I am starting WINE and get a very confusing message:

[email protected]:/media/rs# wine rs.exe
wine: '/root' is not owned by you, refusing to create a configuration directory there

[email protected]:/media/rs# whoami
root

What am I supposed to do to make it running under root user?

You should not run Wine as root. So says the people who make Wine:
