Hello everyone,

I have installed on ubuntu Vmware player and workstation. When i'm trying to uninstall from terminal is showing that system is unable to locate the app package.
Even if i see the app in my computer, even if i open it from terminal with command vmware player, i can't find any file of the program in my system.
Does anyone know what might happened? any comment it will be very helpful.

thanks in advance.

Hi,
did you try search the package inside the terminal at first?

You don't uninstall VMware like that. Use a search engine.

It should be something like:

Code:
sudo vmware-installer -u vmware-player

and

Code:
sudo vmware-installer -u vmware-workstation

I couldn't find it in the terminal. I did from terminal with uninstaller command as KGIII said.
Many thanks for your answers both of you.

Yeah, for reasons unknown to me, VMware does .bundle files. Well, it's probably to reduce the number of releases they have to create? I suppose?

But, it means the normal installation and removal commands don't work. It is what it is. I should probably write an article explaining it.

Edit: Fixed a word. It's reduce, not release!
