Virtual Machine problems

I've followed all the steps for virtualbox, but whenever i try to install on the USB stick it says device has no 0B needs 8.9GB.
i'm using a 32GB USB 3 pendrive.
and im trying with Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS

am i missing a step? it's like the USB stick isn't being seen when i try to install it but i made sure it was selected in the settings tab

Hello @grsm17 !!!
Let's assume that you have enable host additions ( I never managed to do).
During installation in a USB Thumb drive throw Vbox you should choose "somewhere else" at the first screens, when app asking you to choose where to install (something like this).
