After updating last night, any video I play now is distorted and echoes, no matter which player I use. Dragon Player, VLC, and videos in browsers all have the same results. Is this a known issue?

My System:
Operating System: Fedora Linux 37
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0
Qt Version: 5.15.8
Kernel Version: 6.1.14-200.fc37.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 32 × 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-13900K
Memory: 62.6 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070/PCIe/SSE2
Manufacturer: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd.
Product Name: MS-7D91
System Version: 4.0

The Grub menu on startup shows versions: 6.1.14-200, 6.1.13-200, and 6.1.12-200. I tried rolling back to those until this is fixed, but I still get the same problem. Any ideas?

Sounds like a graphics card driver / firmware issue if all the video players are behaving similarly. You could try: mpv, since, at times, it will play videos that vlc fails to play properly. I wouldn't be optimistic though from your report.

....and in an odd twist of events, it just fixed itself. I did nothing to cause it or fix it.

However, I'd still like to know why it happened.
