Hey, been trying to fix this on my own, but can not. I get these video stutters when playing local video files. After a while of playing the video, it seems to lag out a bit and plays a sound/image twice, making a jumpy feel to the playback. Tried a bunch of different players, I've tried many different outputs and hwdecoders. Now I'm using mpv from apt, running default settings. I also tried installing oibaf PPA and that didn't solve the problem either. (Log in to hide this advertisement) Also did a reinstall of OS to see if that would help, so now on a fresh Xubuntu since 2 days. uname -a 4.15.0-38-generic #41-Ubuntu 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux My cpu: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-5005U Inxi -G: Graphics: Card: Intel HD Graphics 5500 Display Server: x11 (X.Org 1.19.6 ) drivers: modesetting (unloaded: fbdev, vesa) Resolution: [email protected] OpenGL: renderer: Mesa DRI Intel HD Graphics 5500 (Broadwell GT2) version: 4.5 Mesa 18.0.5 mpf <file>: (+) Video --vid=1 (*) (h264 720x360 25.000fps) (+) Audio --aid=1 --alang=eng (*) (aac 2ch 48000Hz) (+) Subs --sid=1 --slang=eng (*) (mov_text) File tags: Title:file AO: [pulse] 48000Hz stereo 2ch float Using hardware decoding (vaapi).
