VBox up the Video RAM easily

I just came across a simple way to up the video RAM for a VBox machine. When you select a machine in the left pane, the settings are in the right pane. Find the Display area and you'll the Video Memory listed at the top of the section. If you hover the cursor over the RAM amount, such as 128 MB, you'll see it turns blue. This is a link. Left-click on it and you should then see a slider bar that goes from 0 to 256 MB. You can change it as you need and click OK.

This beats doing it through a terminal with all the long commands.
 


Yes, that's a great tip! Increasing the video RAM can help improve graphics performance in VirtualBox.
A small addition, if the slider doesn't allow setting the memory beyond a certain limit, make sure the VM is powered off before adjusting the settings.
Also, enabling 3D acceleration in the same Display section can further enhance performance for graphical applications.
