using ubuntu with Oracle Virtual Box

I got through installing ubuntu on oracle virtual box with backtrack. However...there are lots of errors. For one msfupdate won't work. The other updates will work and second se toolkit will not install at all, even with restart. Any suggestions would be helpful.

A bit difficult to understand what you are saying.
Ubuntu is one distro, produced by Canonical.
Backtrack Linux is another distro, BASED on Ubuntu but not produced by Canonical.

The last release of Backtrack Linux was August 2012. (I believe) It was later replaced by Kali Linux - http://www.kali.org/
