hello all
i have recently installed ipfire on a new machine and i added a PCE-AC55BT dual band AC1200 wireless adapter wifi card as the blue interface the machine it is recognized as Intel Corporation ‐ Wireless 8260 (iwlwifi) by the fireinfo service..
i have installed WLanAP but whenever i start the access point it stops after a fiew minutes and i cant seem to find the SSID broadcast on any of my devices.
any ideas about how to get my access point up?

G'day @noobusinglinux and welcome to linux.org :)

This area is not my specialty, but just throwing it out there, have you read

https://wiki.ipfire.org/addons/wireless/start

?

Search used with Google was initially

linux wlanap access point ssid

then I focused on wlanap with

linux "wlanap" access point ssid

and found the above.

From my address field I also get a drop down, with that search, comprising

So HTH.

Btw this borders between hardware and Networking, more Networking, I think - I can move it there if you wish.

Cheers
