Hey there,

I just upgraded the forum software to the latest version to ensure we're always good to go in the security and bug departments.

Please let me know if you notice anything funny. Also, I enabled a couple things that you'll notice under your username to the left of posts (Join date, post count, reaction score).

Thanks!
Rob

The editor window is funny... different. Some of the tools are hidden below "3 vertical dots." I guess there are new ones and they wouldn't fit. We'll get used to it.

Thanks, Rob!

Hmm ok, I didn't notice that. Not sure why they would have changed that - seems like there's plenty of room there lol

There are 3 separate menus with "3 vertical dots"... if they were all expanded, it would be a lot, and probably would not fit in the width provided. It's not a problem though... we will soon learn where everything is. ;)

Are you open for a change of the forum theme if people are willing to chip in to help pay for it?

I wondered if you'd have an official thread.

LOL We've got an unofficial one going. It'd make a mess to merge them, so I won't.

There's now a "Profile Banner" option.

Sure, but no one needs to chip in for it. There are a bunch on the xenforo site in the resources section, then some developers with their own sites. You'd be looking for themes working with 2.x (or 2.2.x)

I'm not seeing the other thread.
Ah, good catch on the profile banner thing - i didn't look at the changelog or anything, just wanted to keep up on the security patches.. ha.

We do get to select our themes, if new ones are added, correct?

And, we've maybe overlooked is the new location of the preview button. There's another visual change. I think... I'm pretty sure it was a button before, but I didn't preview often.

Btw, the profile banner size looks to want 1178 x 250.

Nice. I'm sure someone will find a creative use for it.

What a jolly good idea, who could have thought of that?

I don't think this is a problem with the site but when I reload the alerts button flashes a red box with one in it. Does anyone else have this happen to them?
You're right... I've seen it flash too. I think it is because you have not yet clicked on each alert before you reload. Try that, and I think it will stop flashing red. I think the number is indicating how many un-clicked alerts there are, so it may show more than one... but I'm not certain.
