updates

I'm new to Linux ubuntu 16.04! I see updates are set to automatic daily but I get message Software updates available, Important OS & applications are ready to be installed. Are there any other settings I need.

Hi @devizes, and welcome to the forums! I'm using Linux Mint, which is based on Ubuntu, and you probably also have some means to configure different settings on your Update Manager. The defaults are usually sufficient, but it doesn't hurt to look around and try to determine if there is anything you want to do differently. But being new to Linux, it will probably take you awhile for some of the details and options to settle in. Take your time... and enjoy!
