A friend of mine shared screenshots of his playing around with Unreal Engine 4 IDE for Linux. As he's a FOSS enthusiast, I got curious and googled it instantly.
Turns out it's been made available free.
State-of-the-art Unreal AAA game/general 3d development, free of charge.
You can download the engine and use it for everything from game development, education, architecture, and visualization to VR, film and animation. When you ship a game or application, you pay a 5% royalty on gross revenue after the first $3,000 per product, per quarter.
