Hey
After 3 months of trying different linux systems i decided ubuntu mate was for me. I have had it installed now for 3 weeks and during that time it has booted to intramfs 5 times . I have tried mounting the correct boot (mount /dev/sda1 etc)
I have tried the force mount..
The hdd is brand new and ive done all the phoronix tests and it says its fine. I dont mess with bios or anything else during boot. Ubuntu is the only os on hdd. So WTF.
I am writing this in the live ubuntu cd as i dont feel like loading it yet again.
I have just checked bios and its booting eufi - then the correct hdd.
The motherboard is a gigabyte 970A-DS3P and i have 16 gb ram.
anybody else had this problem.
And if so why is it happening and can i stop it happening without having to reinstall the os
cheers

First, where's my beer?

Seriously, last we met, at https://www.linux.org/threads/gigabyte-ga-970a-ds3p-wont-install-or-run-linux.22537/#post-66411

... you had got Debian running.

Is this attempt at Ubuntu in place of Debian, or in addition to it?
