I´ve got a question: I wanted to download software in the Ubuntu-Software shop. The instalation was done but I coudn´t use it, why?

Why? What happened? What is the problem?

Does it not appear somewhere in your menu? What happens if you open a Terminal and input: vlc

It happens nothink.
After this I restarted Ubuntu, and then the complete system didn´t work.
