not sure if this is of any help but this is what i get when i try to boot into the usb with mint on it.

from memory Ubuntu has its own usb image writer [only works on ubuntu based distributions] you might try that, another possible fixe would be to update your bios,
I assume you are still using Ubuntu, please run in a terminal inxi -Fnxz [inxispace-Fnx] and post back the report

I did manage to get Mint onto my system however its still a big issue similar to before.
You see. When i try to install Mint in the desktop it installs as normal but wont boot when i have to reboot my system. I get the same error as before. Even though im on Mint atm i did the command and i got the following text.

I did look for a few fixes but they didnt do anything.
One i tested was changing things in grub.

Terminal:
sudo nano /etc/default/grub
And changed
(GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash") to
(GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash nomodeset")

It is now reset to the original
(GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash")
after my installation once more failed.

I spy several possible problems..
AMD Ryzen 7 with : NVIDIA TU116 [GeForce GTX 1660] vendor: ASUSTeK driver: N/A
try upgrading to latest kernel

Device-2: Broadcom and subsidiaries BCM4352 802.11ac Wireless Network
Adapter
vendor: ASUSTeK driver: N/A
try loading additional drivers [menu all apps, driver manager]
MZVLQ512HALU-00000
some NVMe's cause problems try
  1. Boot into the BIOS Setup on your machine.
  2. Find the System Configuration in the BIOS Setup.
  3. Find SATA Operation and select AHCI.
  4. Restart the computer
have you kept the previous distribution??? if so try
sudo update-grub

all can think of at the moment

I see! I will try to do all the steps above and i will come back with the results :)

Also about the grub thing.
sudo update-grub
/usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: failed to get canonical path of `/cow'.

I tried all of the above and i hve still the same error as before. Not sure what to do at this point.

The start sound still play in the background but the error is on top of everything.

ID-2: /dev/sda type: USB vendor: Toshiba model: External USB 3.0
