I'd read and trying to apply "Kali Linux Repository" into my apt/source.list from the thread below, however even after overwrite and updating them, the "Unable to locate package tilix" still occurred.

https://www.linux.org/threads/confu...crvqhptU9X8b15XyEJBQ-1654340155-0-gaNycGzNCRE

The repositories I added are from the link below:
deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main contrib non-free
deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali-last-snapshot main contrib non-free
deb-src http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main contrib non-free

https://www.kali.org/docs/general-use/kali-linux-sources-list-repositories/#source-repositories

I will admit I'm not sure what they do to fix the issues. All I know is that tilix is not part of Kali repositories, and I'm fairly new to this.

Looks like Tilix is discontinued, so you shouldn't be using it since the repos are probably offline as well. Also Kali is based on Debian-testing so even if Tilix weren't discontinued it wouldn't be smart to Mix normal Debian repos and testing.

Tilix was discontinued? Since when? But more importantly, are there better Debian alternative in replacing it?

\welcome,
are you experienced enough in Linux to be using Kali, Did you read the Kali introduction pages,

I quote
"
As the distribution’s developers, you might expect us to recommend that everyone should be using Kali Linux. The fact of the matter is, however, that Kali is a Linux distribution specifically geared towards professional penetration testers and security specialists, and given its unique nature, it is NOT a recommended distribution if you’re unfamiliar with Linux or are looking for a general-purpose Linux desktop distribution for development, web design, gaming, etc.

Even for experienced Linux users, Kali can pose some challenges. Although Kali is an open source project, it’s not a wide-open source project, for reasons of security. The development team is small and trusted, packages in the repositories are signed both by the individual committer and the team, and - importantly - the set of upstream repositories from which updates and new packages are drawn is very small. Adding repositories to your software sources which have not been tested by the Kali Linux development team is a good way to cause problems on your system."

Regardless of the possible problems, I'm still using it because of its main purpose in helping me get into pentesting career.

So, know any good alternative to tilix in Kali Linus?

There are around 5 Pen-testing distributions, on all of them you will need a good working knowledge of Linux, how it works and be self proficient at using the terminal, most will completely ignore obvious newbie questions,
so my suggestion is install one of the popular distributions till you think you are competent, then you can install the pentesting tools to that distribution, or you could install Parrot HOME edition to learn on, then install the Parrot tools pack [ it's basically the same as those on Kali] but you must take your time and learn the basics of Linux before you jump in, make one mistake, and you can leave yourself open or worse still completely bulk your own system beyond use.

You can download the Home edition here... https://parrotsec.org/download/

Make sure you read all the documents before installing... here... https://parrotsec.org/docs/

The Parrot community can be found here.. https://community.parrotsec.org/

I do not know any alternative [not my field]

edit, but a quick run of duck, duck,go renders https://alternativeto.net/software/terminix/

I was assuming you were talking about Tilix Linux but it seems you are not since you are using Kali. One option is to read the information on the website of how to manually install it or you could try using Debian packports under Kali and install it from there, the latter might not work and at your own risk since Kali is based on Debian testing.
Or you could compile it yourself.
However when it comes to Kali you should be able to figure that out yourself because Kali isn't meant for beginners since you should know your way around Linux before attempting to use the tools on Kali.
Lastly I would recommend you get familiar until you know you way around Linux before continuing with Kali. Start with Mint, Ubuntu, Elementary or one of the other more beginner friendly distributions.
