I figured I'd cover some of the basics and may do them all in a row or intersperse them with other articles. Right now, I'm busy all afternoon and into the evening - and will be until the auction is over. Mornings belong to me and aren't spent online. So, I'm here as time allows. That also limits how much time I've got to write articles. Nice and easy articles are the rule for the moment.

It just covers those commands that a new person is likely to use. Nothing more, nothing less. Feedback is awesome.

Good article. Have you done lspci ? Or ipcs ?

For a long time, I used lsmod to see what kernel modules were being used for drivers.
Lately I've been using lspci -k | grep driver. It's easier for me to read at least.

But lsusb, lspci and lsmod would make a good series. Maybe lshw also.

They're on the list. I'm gonna cover some of the basics over the next x-amount of articles.

I am just deciding if I want to bang 'em all out in a row or intersperse them with other articles so that my regular readers (and myself) don't get too bored.
