This is the new server..

You may notice a couple things..

• Double the server resources, so may seem faster
• You can now search within your direct messages (click messages -> show all -> direct message search)
• Updated 'credits' .. there may be some new things there. We'll figure a way to use it some day.
• Site core software updated to the latest .. some bugfixes, etc..
• Removed the 'website' field in user profiles.. was getting abused by spammers
• that might be it.. i'm SURE there's something on the server side that I forgot to set up correctly, so we'll see.

Edit: for instance, i'm sure I messed up certbot/letsencrypt, so I look forward to figuring that out when it fails within 3 months

I'd almost consider removing the entire 'about' section but folks seem to like it.

But, so far it's working just fine on my end.

I almost pulled the trigger on that one haha, but it's nice when people use it for what it's for.. and there are a bunch that do. One day we'll make it so only users with 'x' amount of posts can use it maybe.

That'd be a good move. Once they've passed the threshold of moderation, then they'd have access.

I figure they're either bots that have figured out how to automate posts to this forum software or they're really industrious. I doubt they'd make it pass that point with five salient posts.

Anyone thought of adding I "100%" emoji-thing for the "Like" button? In fact we could do with a "WTF" face, too as people are using the wow one for both that and wow... I think our likes are a little limited mind you. But maybe I'm missing something since I only signed up in 2021. There could be more nuanced meanings from before my time. I learned the meaning of a few reactions similar to how algorithms do: lots of input data, lol.
