Is it possible to install a Windows operating system on a Linux based thin client or use a DVD drive to watch DVDs or install software using a USB flash drive?

Hi @msah and welcome to linux.org :)

That question is beyond my knowledge, but hopefully someone will be along soon to provide advice.

Cheers

Is this 3 questions, or 1 related question?
a) Is it possible to install a Windows operating system on a Linux based thin client
b) Is it possible to use a DVD drive to watch DVDs
c) Is it possible to install software using a USB flash drive?

You need to understand what a thin client is. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thin_client

Is the thin client a stand-alone. Make, model or basic specs?

Or is the thin client attached to a server, through a network, as it is supposed to be? Details about the server?

and this ... https://www.linux.org/threads/thin-client.19211/

@msah - this is getting somewhat silly.

You have three (3) Threads, incredibly similar, posted within 4 weeks, on virtually the same subject.

I may be looking at combining the three under one heading - thin client, to save confusion for people whom are trying to assist you, but only if you confirm whether you have read the Wikipedia link provided you, have a good idea of what you are trying to do, and give us more information on equipment you have or are planning on getting.

Other than that, I will just close the Threads.

Thank you
