Fire hit my district, within hundreds of metres (yards) of our home, last 36 hours..

Elaine and I are safe

Attached are news footage, and we were 2 of the 190 evacuated to the north

Winds won't abate until Tuesday at this point, so normal service will be resumed as soon as possible!

Back on deck now, and hopefully safe

After our immediate fires had been dealt with, on Monday more broke out a little south of here, at Ballandean, where a number of our major wineries are.

That fire is now under control, but we are still getting smoke from fires in north-eastern New South Wales, only 60 kilometres away.
