Hello folks,

I have dual-booted Kali Linux on my "Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Ryzen 7 7840HS," but after pressing the function key to increase or decrease the brightness, my system shuts down and crashes. To turn it back on, I need to long-press the power button. After that, Kali Linux enters rescue mode.

Does anyone know what the issue might be and how we can fix it?

dont use the F keys use the power management in the Kali menu

Hello Brickwizard,

The suggestion you shared is not practical for me, as navigating to settings for controls would impact my productivity. Do you have any solution for the issue? BTW, I have tried with the latest version of Kali Linux.

Here is my laptop model also:

jsbjsb001 has already answered you on the other forum that you asked

Basically this problem has been going on for the last 2 years not just with various Linux distros but also Windows 10
I did not see any conclusive results on any of those I am a member of.
