Suggestions for which linux distro to install

Hi Guys,
I have used elementaryOS for 1 year. I just purchased new lenovo laptop. Want your suggestions what will be best fit. I have attached the laptop discription below. Also I am an software developer with 2 year experience and willing learn linux in detail in coming year. Please suggest accordingly

Elementary OS is good, but there are lots of great modern Linux distros that will be very happy with an 8th gen i7 CPU. Linux Mint and Kubuntu have excellent support and are easy to install and use.

My main concern is drivers. As this laptop has fingerprint login n NFC. Will they work normally with Linux also?

I did a research and I finally found that ubuntu 20.04 is good choice to go. I am planning to install this. If anyone has any different view on this please suggest

The best advice (from Condobloke)! Always start somewhere, at some time, with something.

You can always go to another distro once you become familiar with Linux.
