Hello everyone
I just setup a new CentOS 7 machine and I when I try to change user in a terminal:
su - so001
I get:
su: warning: cannot change directory to /homedir/users/so001: No such file or directory
mkdir: cannot create directory '/d/user5': Permission denied
[so001@xlab /home]$
I was told that home directories are served from an NFS server and all I need is to install autofs. I have installed and enabled autofs and it is running but it made no difference. I then find out that NIS is being used, I compared the file of /etc/nsswitch file from a working PC with mine and added nis in the relative lines but no luck.
Does anyone know if there is anything else I need to check?
Many thanks
