Hi, and excuse the english. I am using Fedora 29, kernel 4.20.6-200.fc29.x86_64 with Plasma KDE 5.54 CPU : Core i5 6500 MB : H170M D3H I bought a usb headset Vykon me888, on the other system ... it works perfectly, so it's not a hardware problem. On KDE, if the volume in the mixer is below 100% there is no sound. Above 100% there is sound but it's very loud. And there are cuts sometimes on the sound. To get an audible sound I have to decrease the sound from the application playing the sound, and even with that it's like I don't have the ability to decrease or increase the sound gradually, the sound disappears or become loud rapidly. Here are some information : lsusb -v : see attachment pacmd ls : see attachment dmesg [ 40.873372] usb 1-1: 2:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x82 [ 41.202041] retire_capture_urb: 8 callbacks suppressed [11383.236299] usb 1-1: USB disconnect, device number 2 [11395.052621] usb 1-1: new full-speed USB device number 5 using xhci_hcd [11395.183228] usb 1-1: New USB device found, idVendor=1908, idProduct=2070, bcdDevice= 1.00 [11395.183234] usb 1-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 [11395.183239] usb 1-1: Product: USB PnP Sound Device [11395.183243] usb 1-1: Manufacturer: Generic [11395.183246] usb 1-1: SerialNumber: 〲㌱㈱ [11395.187821] usb 1-1: 1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x2 [11395.189732] usb 1-1: 2:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x82 [11395.202300] input: Generic USB PnP Sound Device as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb1/1-1/1-1:1.3/0003:1908:2070.0005/input/input20 [11395.254256] hid-generic 0003:1908:2070.0005: input,hidraw0: USB HID v2.01 Device [Generic USB PnP Sound Device] on usb-0000:00:14.0-1/input3 [11395.334957] usb 1-1: 2:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x82 alsa-info.sh : see attachment (Log in to hide this advertisement) Regards.
