When I launch skyrim, the launcher only shows my onboard graphics, and doesnt show my AMD graphics card. It launches but runs unbearably slow. Anyone have a fix?

G'day @DevynKo :)

Can you give us the output from Terminal of

Code:
inxi -G
?

Mine looks like this

chris@BeaverGNOME-Dell-HDD:~$ inxi -G
Graphics: Card-1: Intel UHD Graphics 620
Card-2: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] Topaz XT [Radeon R7 M260/M265 / M340/M360 / M440/M445]
Display Server: x11 (X.Org 1.19.6 ) drivers: i915,amdgpu
Resolution: [email protected]
OpenGL: renderer: Mesa DRI Intel UHD Graphics 620 (Kabylake GT2)
version: 4.5 Mesa 18.0.5
chris@BeaverGNOME-Dell-HDD:~$

In many machines with dual graphics, the rig will use the onboard Intel unless it detects that it needs to use the proprietary graphics. I do not know if that is the case with Steam.

You could go to Software & Updates, choose Additional Drivers and see what is there. If it does not list your AMD, then you may need to download a proprietary driver.

Cheers
