I know for a long time, I used "top".
But these days I tend to use "glances" and "btop++".

I was just curious what do most of you use for quick system stats.

In the terminal, it's htop. In the GUI, it's generally just whatever was provided by default.

Glances is pretty awesome, however.

That looks like a neat program as an alternative to htop and top, but on a server I still prefer to use top or htop. Thanks for sharing!

I like bpytop

I like bpytop

It occurs to me that I could review some of these alternatives.

I never want to stoop to lists (though I might, if the lists are worth it) as articles. So, I'm gonna toss the idea into my article-writing notes and we'll see. There are a ton of top alternatives and they seem to be making their way into various distros as defaults. Like htop is now a default in Lubuntu.

I thought you mentioned 'quick system' stats. LOL! Glances is loaded with tons of info, and it loads quickly.
I use top as it gives me enough info for what little I do. I'll have to look into Glances further.
